Celebrate Recovery meets at New Walk Church, every Monday night at 7pm.

Adam Grenville

CR Leader

Adam has been the Ministry Leader for CR here at New Walk since 2013 and has a passion for showing the lost, hurt, and broken, that there is HOPE through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Anybody struggling with a Hurt, Habit or Hang-up is welcome!

More about Adam.

Adam and his wife Jody have been attending New Walk Church since 2009. Adam and Jody have been married since 2004, and have 2 beautiful children – Aaron and Rachel. It was during a message that Pastor Gary was delivering about becoming a better husband, father, and leader of your family by improving your relationship with Christ that Adam realized that was exactly what he was missing in his life (and his family’s)! Adam quickly joined the media and set-up/tear-down serve teams, and got involved in Connection Groups; eventually becoming a part of the Pastoral Care team, and receiving a Minister’s License by the Genesis Association of the General Baptists. As the launch of Celebrate Recovery was being announced and promoted, Adam and Jody felt a calling to volunteer to help the new CR ministry. They thought it would be good to help “those people” only to find out they were “those people”!

Is Celebrate Recovery confidential?

Yes, Celebrate Recovery maintains strict confidentiality to make sure everyone who takes this step in their walk gets the chance to be open, honest, and vulnerable. Having a strict confidentiality commitment promotes an atmosphere of trust which is foundational to freedom.

What types of issues are dealt with at Celebrate Recovery?

We all have different hurts, hang ups and harmful behaviors. When you come to CR you’ll find that they are all represented and worked on without judgement. Some examples might be alcohol or drugs, pornography, low self-esteem, need to control, depression, anger, co-dependency, depression, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, perfectionism, broken relationships, and abuse. Whatever the hurt, habit or hangup might be, we want you to find freedom from it. We are in this together and with Christ we believe you can overcome.

What age do you need to be to attend Celebrate Recovery?

Due to the nature of topics discussed and our continentality commitments, we require everyone attending CR to be at least 18 years old. However, if you are struggling with a hurt, habit, or hangup and you are under 18, we still want you to experience freedom. Connect with your Student Pastor and get started on the steps you need to take to embrace the freedom that belongs to you.

Is Celebrate Recovery for me?

Celebrate Recovery gives you the chance to be a part of a group where love and hope combine with God’s purpose for you life.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself as you figure out whether CR is right for you:

-Are there things in my life that I do that hurt others?

-Is there something I wish I could live without?

-Is it time to admit I am not in control of my life like I want to be?

-Do I have a painful habit or hang-up from which I need to be freed?

Getting started in Celebrate Recovery doesn’t have to be scary or intimidating. You won’t be judged here and you won’t feel out of place. Celebrate Recovery is just one of the many ways we commit to unleash new purpose in your life and all we want is to see you live in the freedom Christ died to give you.
