Our Core Values

We are plan A

Jesus founded the local church. He also died for the spreading of the gospel through the local church. We are the ONLY hope of the world–There is no Plan B.

We are united under one vision

New Walk exists because of the vision God has given Pastor Gary. We will stand shoulder-to-shoulder on the front-lines, while aggressively defending that vision.

We are uncivilized in our approach

The enemy is aggressive; therefore, we cannot afford to be passive in the way we spread the gospel. Without compromising God’s word, we will embrace change and intentionally engage the culture through the power of Jesus Christ.

we are all about the numbers

We place a high value on numbers as we honor the fact that every number has a name. Every name has a story. Every story matters to God.

We understand it's not about me

We will not cater to personal preference. We are more concerned with the people we are trying to reach than the people we are trying to keep.

We fight for men

We equally honor and challenge growth in men and women alike. However, we are unapologetic in our passion to reach the men in this community. We believe that when you unleash the man, he will lead his family to greater things.

We are known for what we celebrate

We will maintain an extraordinary amount of excitement and energy over things that matter most to God! We will not be silent as we take next steps in our walk with Christ.

We can't out give God

Extraordinary moves of God begin with ordinary acts of obedience. We will partner together through giving financially to be a part of something much bigger than ourselves.

We are wired to inspire

It’s our goal to inspire everyone to dream bigger and to pursue their passions like never before. We will do all that we can to see people unleashed with new purpose through Jesus Christ.

We live where the sun Stands still

What we are experiencing is far from normal. Audacious faith brought us here. We will only go where boldness and audacity leads.

We strip down

We will strip ourselves of facades in order to dress ourselves in authenticity. As we work to become who God wants us to be, we will embrace the fact that the naked truth is always better than the best dressed lie.

We are not a social club

Members have rights; owners have responsibilities. NW Owners will lead the way by actively engaging in Connection Groups and Serve Teams, where we connect, grow, and do life together.

Our History

New Walk launched in 2006 with one service, 60 families, and three staff members. In the years since, hundreds of families have found community, more than 5,000 people have accepted Christ into their lives, and more than 1,200 people have been baptized at New Walk Church.

And we’re just getting started. By God’s grace, we’ll continue reaching for the vision God gave Pastor Gary more than a decade ago: Change the lives and eternal destination of people in this community.

We hope you’ll join us.

Our Beliefs at New WAlk

Where we stand on important topics

God

We believe that there is only one true, living, and eternal God and that the Godhead is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Trinity

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

The Son

Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He’s the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death, and through His resurrection, we can have life.

Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God because of sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from
God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

the Church

The church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. We are committed to the teachings of Christ, to obeying all of His commands, and to bringing the gospel to this world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

Prayer

Prayer is our ability to communicate with God. Through Jesus’ salvation, we no longer need an intercessor between God and us; we can address Him directly.

Marriage & Human Sexuality

Marriage has been instituted by God and is described in the Bible. We define marriage as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government’s sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with this definition of marriage. Legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexual activities outside of marriage, including but not limited to adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality, and pedophilia, are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the church. Further, lascivious conduct, transgender activities, and the creation and/or distribution and/or viewing of pornography are behaviors that are incompatible with biblical instruction.

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

The Father

God is great: He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

The Holy spirit

His presence assures us of a relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth, and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.

Salvation

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

Baptism

Baptism is a symbolic act to publicly profess one’s salvation. It is commanded by God, but our salvation is not reliant upon it. We practice full-immersion baptism, symbolizing the process of death and resurrection that Jesus went through for us.

Man

Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in the relationship through
sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
